How safe is your Mosquito Squad treatment?
When properly used and applied, pyrethroids pose little risk to humans, pets and the environment. Our technicians use only enough product to target a 2.5 milligram mosquito (a fraction of an ounce), while the average cat or small dog is 6 kilograms (5 to 10 pounds). Once the product is dry (15 to 30 minutes after application), it does not rub or wipe off easily, so children and pets can play as they would do normally, without becoming a mosquito’s dinner.

Is this an organic product?
No, the product we use for our standard treatment is not organic, be we do offer an organic option. Our organic treatment option must be applied every 14 days, as opposed to the 21-day cycle of our traditional solution.

Will Mosquito Squad treatments harm my plants or vegetable and herb garden?
No. All Mosquito Squad treatments are designed to be as gentle as possible on organisms other than the targeted pests. Our treatment is achieved with a chemical frequently used in the agricultural industry. We recommend that you wash any vegetables or herbs from your garden prior to consumption just as you would store bought ones. If you would like for your vegetable and herb garden not to be treated, we will note that on your work order and direct our technicians to take extra care to ensure that it is not treated.

Will the treatment kill beneficial insects?
Some of Mosquito Squad’s treatments can kill other insects in addition to the targeted pests. For instance, gnats, flies and fleas that are in direct contact with the spray during application will be killed. However, care is taken to minimize damage to other insects. For instance, we avoid spraying blooming plants that attract honeybees. Once dry, the treatment should not kill insects that do not feed on foliage, which honeybees to not.

I have a fish pond, will the treatment kill my fish?
Some of Mosquito Squad’s products can be toxic to fish. Mosquito Squad technicians are trained to carefully treat around the pond to provide protection for your family without harming your pond and fish.
